A beautiful Jambiya Dagger from Kurdistan. The blade is 10 1/2 inches long (point to point) curved and double edge with a central rib. The hilt is “I” shaped cut from black, water buffalo horn and set with filigree silver domes on the cross guard and on the pommel. The scabbard is made of heavy silver in a typical Kurd style. Total length in scabbard is 18”. Very good condition. Minor damage to the blade. Small age cracks on the horn and age cracks on the silver on the rear side of the scabbard. This is an authentic and old late 19th Century piece in excellent shape and condition and a treasured addition to any collection of oriental weapon.
