This interesting Indian dagger is a mid 19 C. vintage, with a straight blade forged from Indian wootz ( Crystalline Damascus), 11 1/2 inches long, forge welded from two ingots. The handle is steel with gold inlay decoration. The scabbard is wood covered with velvet and with a pierced silver tip. Total length 18 inches. Very good condition. Some losses to the gold inlay decoration. The scabbard tip is new.
