This Yataghan sword exhibit a finest steel blade forged in the pattern known as Turkish ribbon: Several strips of Twisted Star steel forge welded together. Blade 24 ½ inches with engraved decoration and inscription. Horn grip inlaid with silver nails in nice geometrical pattern. Pewter grip straps and bolsters covered with silver. . Wood scabbard covered with silver stitched in the correct spiral stitching and with silver locket and chape. Total length 30 inches. Very good condition.
