The BULLOVA is the traditional fighting axe of the Chota Nagpur aboriginal tribes of central India. It comes in a variety of blade shapes and this one has a forked shape blade, 8 X 7 ½ inches, hand forged. It is mounted on a dark wood shaft 37 inches long, through its heavy socket with two beautiful brass tips. It is a rather large example of good quality. Good condition. Age patina and moderate pitting on the blade. Very attractive price.
