We are not at all sure that this is Indian. It is surely very unusual. The 5 1/2 inches steel blade is screwed on to a long steel socket, and over it there is an unclear brass and iron structure, nicely stamped with geometrical motives and with small brass and steel spikes riveted to it. It can be removed by un-screwing the blade from its socket. Probably a ceremonial addition to a long spear. Long wood haft. Total length 67 inches. Very good condition. Good age patina on the wood haft. An unusual item.
