Up for sale is this old Nias shield, carved from a single piece of light wood, painted with red and yellow colors. The wood is reinforced with rattan bindings to avoid splitting. Length 48 inches, width 11 inches. Very good condition, Good age patina. Some losses to the paints and an old crack glued and bound with steel wires (an old repair). A interesting and rare item.
