Up for sale is this shield, circa 1950, coming from East Africa, probably from the upper White Nile area in South Sudan. 12 1/2 inches long, 11 inches wide, made from the back of a sweet water tortoise and mounted on a 19 inches wood shaft. Very good condition. Very unusual and interesting item.
