This dagger is of Persian origin, Qajar period, mid 19 C. Its has a fine wootz (Damascus) blade, 11 inches long, double edged and with a central rib. The I shaped grip is made of bone. The scabbard is wood covered with leather and with a bone tip. Total length 17 inches. Very good condition. Some age cracks on the grip bone. The lower part of the scabbard is covered with later piece of leather as a repair. This is an old and not a recent repair.
