Up for sale is this fine shield, 14 1/2 inches in diameter, 2 ½ inches high, elaborately decorated with gold and silver koftgary work on its entire face. The four steel bosses are also inlaid with gold and silver work.Very good condition. Minor losses to the koftgari work on the shield rim. The inner hand cushion is missing. The decoration style suggest mid to late 19 C. Indian work. A fine piece.
