Up for sale is this early hide shield from India, probably north India, late 18 C. thick Buffalo (?) hide 13 inches in diameter, with four steel bosses inlaid with brass decoration. Original leather covered inner hand cushion with original leather strips. Good condition. Traces of painting on the front face. Very low price.
