Up for sale is this Jambiya dagger from Yemen, one of the many variant appears there. It is most probably early 20 C. from Southern areas of Yemen. Simple but meant for use, with a real steel blade, 7 inches long with a central rib. The handle is composed of horn grips with white metal decorated fittings. The scabbard is U shaped, bound with leather and mounted with decorative white metal fittings. Total length 11 1/2 inches. Good condition. Good untouched age patina on the blade. Upper rosette on the grip is missing. Worn leather. An authentic item at a very low price.
