This is a very good Yataghan sword from the early 19C. probably of Turkish origin. The blade is slightly down curving, 26 1/2 inches long, well made and stamped with a maker stamp. The handle and bolsters are finely chased silver in great details of floral design. The scabbard is wood covered with chased silver. Total length 35.5 inches. Very good condition. The tip of scabbard has an old repair. The scabbard is of slightly lower quality silver and chasing thanf the hilt and might not born with it.
