This Billao dagger is late 19 Century and comes from the coastal people of Somalia. It has a classical non-symmetrical leaf shape blade, 10 inches long, almost 2 ½ inches wide. The handle is made of two sections of ivory separated by layers of brass and black horn. The pommel cap is silver. Nice hide scabbard. Very good condition. Few blackened spots on the blade. belt missing.
