We offer here for sale a very nice and good quality Parang sword / machete from Indonesia, probably from Java, late 19 C. The blade is 17 ½ inches long, heavy and single edged. It is forged from good pamor steel. The hilt is solid light honey colored horn. The scabbard is wood with silver bands, bone and horn locket and the chape is constructed from layers of bone. Wood belt attachment covered with engraved silver sheet. Total length 25 inches. All in very good condition. A very good item.
