This dagger – short sword is coming from Sumatra. The general shape is of the Klewang sword : 18 1/2 inches single edge blade, well made, widenning toward the tip. Total length 24 1/2 plus inches in scabbard. Horn handle with forked pommel covered with silver. This style of hilt is known as Sukul Ngangan and common within the batak tribes of Sumatra. Wood scabbard bound in copper bands. Excellent condition allover. Unusall blade shape of high quality for this type.
