This fine sword has a 32 inches curved blade, forged from very fine high contrast wootz (Damascus) steel but in contrary to the classic Persian Shamshirs, it has a narrow fullered blade. The blade is decorated with gold koftgari work, showing a floral design at the top and a snake image at the bottom. Steel cross guard also decorated with gold koftgari work. Ivory grips with steel grip strap and pommel cap. Total length 37 inches. Very good condition. One of the cross guard tips is damaged. The grips are restored. No scabbard.
