Up for sale is this good Khukuri / Kukri knife, mid to late 19 C. 12 ½ inches heavy blade with ridged spine, engraved on both sides with Nepalese Mythological symbols. Wood handle with steel bolsters and pommel carved in the shape of a lion head. Original leather scabbard with small Karda knife (later) and leather pocket for flint. Original steel tip. Total length 18 ½ inches. Very good condition. Age cracks on the pommel. Small damage to the scabbard. Back pocket slightly loose with recently made leather strip holding it in place. This Khukri is coming from the collection of John Powell, SF, a world known collection of Nepalese and related weapons.
