We offer here an Ottoman Shamshir sword with European blade. The 30 inches single fuller blade is from a Good steel probably of European manufacture. The grips are of nice black water buffalo horn with a brass grip strap. The mounts, cross guard and belt ring attachments are from gilded brass. The scabbard is of wood covered with black leather with the typical spiral stitching at the rear side. Total length 36 1/2 inches. Good condition. Some of the gilding is lost and some scratched. Cracks on the grips horn.
