Up for sale is this very fine yataghan sword, probably of Turkish origin and late 18 to early 19 C Fine blade, forged from Sham wootz (low contrast Damascus steel), 19 ½ inches long. Finely engraved silver grips and grip strap, with Arabic letters on the spine of the bolster. Very fine chased silver scabbard. Total length 27 inches. Very good condition. The pommel cover is restored.
