Up for sale is this very good Balkan Jambiya dagger, circa 1850-1880. Classical curved blade with central rib, 12 inches long and and 2 inches wide. The handle is carved from a massive piece of walrus ivory. The scabbard is chased and engraved silver, gilded at the upper part and with brass mouth. Total length 22 inches. Very good condition. Minor dents on the silver scabbard. The blade is a bit shorter than the scabbard but this is quite common to these daggers.
