A container to hold bullets, made of heavy silver beautifully chased and decorated with niello design. 4 inches wide, 5 inches tall with a top hinged lid, silver top crown and rear belt loop. The design and patterns suggest a Greek origin. mid to late 19 C. Very good condition. Old solder repair at the rear of the top crown.
