Very Good Old Hunting Spear, Tanzania, Africa - 8221


This hunting spear comes from Tanzania and it is common to the Konde and Ngoni people of South East Africa. . It is a very good example, circa 1900 and far better in quality and workmanship common to African spears. The blade with is 10 ½ inches long, tang mounted on a 38 inches narrow wood haft, bound with steel strips on the top securing the tang in palce, brass nails at the top of the haft and with brass strip at the bottom. Total length 48 inches. Very good condition. An authentic spear very finely made.
