Up for sale is this very good Qama dagger / short sword, with a classical blade with off centered fullers, marked and dated 1332 ( 1913 in the Gregorian calendar). The blade is 21 ½ inches long and the fuller is etched in a typical floral pattern. The handle is cut from a massive piece of walrus ivory, riveted to the blade tang with big steel rivets. Leather covered scabbard with bone tip and bone belt ring. Total length 27 ½ inches. Very good condition. The scabbard and bone fittings are later to the blade, probably late 20c. An impressive piece.
