This very rare item is known as Sangin, and it is actually a Bayonet, used in India in the 19 C. It was mounted on the Musket barrel. Blade length 7 inches. Total length 12 inches. Nicely chiseled with a lion head holding the blade in its mouth. Very good condition. Locking rings are missing. Lightly pitted blade.
