Up for sale is this very good late 19 C. dteel helmet from Persia. 8 inch diameter, 10 inches tall (base to tip of pike, mail collar not included). The Helmet is shaped like a devil head, with steel horns and ears and etched eyes. A short pike is mounted a the top of the helmet. A mail collar composed of both steel and brass rings arranged in geometrical pattern. The entire helmet dome is finely etched in a typical late 19 C. Qajar style with human figures and Arabic verses. Very good condition. Fine etching. Very few rings are missing. A very impressive helmet.
