A miniature Turkish kard knife, small but of very good quality. The wootz blade is 5 inches long. The hilt and the scabbard are steel, heavily inlaid with gold koftgari decoration with Arabic inscription. The engraved brass bolsters are very typical Turkish design (see also item 0662 in this category). Probably late 19 Century.
