A deeply curved, wedge shape blade of minimal and simple design and yet a lethal slashing weapon in the experienced hand. Here we offer for sale a classical example. A 31 inches blade forged from Wootz (watered steel, Damascus), steel cross guard, bone grips bound with twisted brass wire and steel pommel. Wood scabbard with steel suspension rings and tip. Total length 36 ½ inches. Very good condition. Minor blackened spots on the blade. A repair in the cross guard. The bone grips are restored. The scabbard leather is recent. Very attractive price.
