Up for sale is this unusual and complete parade horse armor, India, mid 19 C, including the two side plates and head armor. The sides are composed of thousands of steel scales sewed on a thick fabric and decorated with steel bosses and brass rosettes all around. Most interesting is the head cover, made of thick leather and cut in the shape of an elephant head with a trunk made from many small steel scales. Also included are two tusks made from steel. Dimensions: 77inches long, 33 inches tall each side. Weight total more than 50 pounds. Very unique piece. Price includes airfreight cost to final destination.
