A most beautiful 19th C. copper plate with very rich silver inlaid decoration. The plate is more 10 inches in diameter, beautifully, intricately and richly inlaid with floral decoration and Kuftic Arabic script in heavy silver This type of work is known as ‘Damascus work’, but may have been produced in other countries in the Middle East beside Syria. Very good condition.
