Fakir Crutch Dagger, India 19 C - 8026

Indian Fakirs were not allowed to carry weapons. Instead they were carrying short crutches, almost always containing a concealed blade. Here is a classical example, early mid 19 C. whole steel, 25 Inches long, made of steel. Handle with a pierced square collar. This crutch contains a 14 inches concealed blade. Very good condition. Few pitted spots and a small hole on the haft. This item is marked MI 1855A and MI 1855B, most probably a marking of a previous collection.
