This fine piece is dated in gold inscription to 1241 (1825 in the Gregorian calendar) on the 21 inches blade. The bolsters as well as the grip strap are also decorated with gold koftgari work. The walrus grips are riveted to the tang through narrow black horn spacers. The silver scabbard is finely chiseled and gilded. Total length 27 inches. Very good condition. The walrus grips were cracked and were repaired. They are later to the blade and the black horn spacers were added to fit it to the tang. The tip of the scabbard was broken and re-glued. Very little of the gold inscription on the blade and the gilding on the scabbard are erased. A very fine piece.
