Very Good 19 C. Khukuri Knife with Bone / Wood Handle - 7966

This is a very good example of a late 19 C. Khukuri, with fine blade 13 inches long, with raised spine ridge and steel bolsters ( indicating an early Khukuri). The handle is composed of wood and bone sectors and engraved brass pommel disk. This Khukuri comes with itsoriginal Chakma and Karda and leather covered scabbard with steel tip. Total length17 inches. Very good condition. Minor wood chips on the pommel side. This Khukuri is coming from the collection of John Powell, SF, a world known collection of Nepalese and related weapons. |
