This is an extremely fine piece: An Indian matchlock rifle, probably 18 C., with a 49 inches barrel, lavishly decorated with gold work. The narrow and elegant wooden stock is mounted with decorative silver plates on the lock sides. The butt end is mounted with steel fittings and ivory tip. Total length 69 inches. Next to mint condition. The lock is in full working order.
