Very Fine Khanjarli Dagger with Damascus Blade - 7904


The Khanjarli, one of the rarest and most sought after dagger in the Indian weaponry. It is characterized by its strongly re-curving blade and wide lunette shaped pommel. This one is a very fine example, with 9 inches multi-fullered blade forged from wootz (Damascus) steel. The lunette shaped pommel and grips are Ivory, riveted to the tang with four rivets. Pommel width 5 inches. Total length 13 ½ inches. Very good condition. Nice age patina to the ivory with a minor chips on one of the pommel corners. A very fine piece.
