Good Indian Khukuri Knife with Marked Blade - 7847

This is a bit unusual Khukuri knife. The heavy 13 inches blade is deeply stamped with a crown. The handle is wood with brass bolsters and pommel cap. The scabbard is of the “box” construction style, opened at the top to allow easy withdrawal of the blade. It is covered with black leather and mounted with a brass tip. The two additional Kardas (small knives) are long and narrow and of fine workmanship. Very good condition. The leather cover is lightly worn and cracked. Good early 20C. item. |
