This Dagger of Ottoman / Balkan origin employ a very early, probably late 17 C. wootz blade with mid 19 C. handle and scabbard. The blade is 9 ½ inches long set with two brass rondels and central fullers. The handle is silver and so is the chased scabbard. Total length 18 inches. Very good condition. Blackened spots and shallow pitting on the blade. Minor dents on the hilt and scabbard and pierced small areas and lightly open seams on the scabbard. The scabbard top is restored.
