We offer for sale this very fine Turkish Yataghan sword, probably early 19 C. Blade length 16 inches, marked with a maker sign and richly inscribed with Arabic/Turkish inscription in gold koftgary decoration. The grips, grips strap and bolsters are silver with Niello enamel decoration. Heavy silver locket and chape, with a fabric covered central area (later). Total length 24 ½ inches. Very good condition. A piece of quality.
