Up for sale is this very fine Turkish Blunderbuss pistol with a flaring barrel, 13 ½ inches long, forged from beautifully folded and twisted steel ( Damascus pattern welded). The top side of the barrel is richly and elaborately inlayed with silver decoration ( true inlay). The flintlock lock is engraved in Turkish style. Wood stock with silver wire inlay decoration. Total length 24 inches. This pistol is marked in several places: Maker marks on the barrel (rear left side) and the lock (inner side in Arabic letters), and the Royal Tugrah mark on the left silver panel and lower ramrod silver ring. Very good condition. Lock in perfect working order. The trigger guard and the butt steel heel are restored, and so is the top silver plaque. Some of the silver wire inlay on the wood is lost. Ramrod missing. A real fine piece.
