This is a typical jambiya dagger from Iraq. The deeply curved blade is 9 inches long, narrow and of flat diamond cross section. The hilt is carved from a solid piece of horn with a flared pommel. The scabbard is silver, decorated with chased and gilded patterns and set with three gilded coin like disks and turquoise stone pieces. Blade is in good condition. The horn hilt is somewhat worn, few turquoise pieces are missing and the scabbard tip is restored. Very attractive price
