Very Good Silver Mounted Kaskara Sword - Sudan - 5757

A very good, old and complete Kaskara sword from the south Sudan Area. The blade is of better quality than the average seen on such swords and it is signed on both sides with the royal marks: The “Lion of Judea”. It is 36 inches long and more than 1 ˝ inches wide. The handle is wood covered with a crocodile skin at the upper half and silver collar at the lower half. The scabbard is complete with its silver (?) tip. Good condition. The blade has few darkened spots but not deep pitting. The scabbard belt fixtures is damaged. Unfortunately the blade does not go all the way into the scabbard but this can be probably be fixed. Very good sword. Worth the investment.
