We offer here for sale a rare old, probably late 18 C. "backscratcher" Indian mace. The mace is made in the shape of the famous Indian backscratcher made of various material such as Ivory, bone, horn and others, but this one is wholly made of single piece of steel. Its weight and dimensions suggests that it may was for fighting purposes as well and is surely a very efficient piece. The hand shape head is nicely chiselled with a ring and an archer ring on the fingers. This is a nice object of good quality steel work. Very good condition. Total length 19 1/2 inches, hand 2x2 1/4 inches.
