This is a rare and original 18 C. steel ingot from India, made of wootz, already partially forged to an long ingot shape, ready to be traded and forged into a wootz blade. 1800 Grams weight, 23 ½ inches long, 1 ½ inches max. width and 7/16 inches thick. The central part was polished and etched to show the clear wootz structure. The tip side is marked with the armory mark were it was kept. Unique piece for the weapon collector, steel researcher or blade smith expert.
