We offer here an Ottoman Shamshir sword with European blade. The 30 inches single fuller blade is from a Good steel probably of European manufacture. The grips are of nice rhino horn with a gilded brass grip strap. The mounts, cross guard and belt ring attachments are from gilded brass as well. The scabbard is of wood covered with black leather with the typical spiral stitching at the rear side. Good condition. Some of the gilding is scratched. Total length 36 1/2 inches.
