Up For sale is this rare early 19C pierced steel Qajar helmet. The helmet is in a shape of a mythological horned figure with a smaller one on top of it. It is pierced at the back and all around the base with Islamic calligraphy in the fashion of fine Qajar steel work. The mustache , large horns and eyebrows are beautifully engraved. The large horns are slightly different in style and may be a late 19C. addition. Very good condition. Most of the Mail is missing. few very light pitted spots. A piece of high quality.
