Up for sale is this Koumaya dagger from Morocco. Classical curved blade 9 inches long, double edged at its lower part and single edge at the upper. This blade is one of quality far better than the average found on similar items. The handle is cut from a massive single piece of Rhino horn with a clear fibrous structure and fitted with chased silver locket and pommel. Heavy chased silver scabbard. The silver is marked with the Moroccan proof marks indicating the year 130(?) which is corresponding to the Gregorian years of 1882-1891. Total length 13 ½ inches. Very good condition. A fine piece of quality at a very reasonable price.
