This is a nice and old Moro Barong. The Barongs heavy leaf shaped blades are known to have superior cutting abilities. This blade is 14 ½ inches long the hilt is carved from a beautiful grained wood in a very classical form, bound to the blade tang with a long silver collar. The scabbard is wood bound with Rattan strips and lightly carved on the front face. Very good condition. Good blade with few forging faults and minor discoloration. Few old cracks to the wood scabbard and an old repair to the tip of the hilt. Very attractive price.
