A fine wootz Shamshir with several Indian Characteristics such as the blade curvature, the fullers structure and the blade ricasso. The blade is 28 inches long, deeply curved and multi-fullered with 7 inches back edge and gold inlay marking. The grips are elephant ivory and the hilt fittings are richly gold inlaid as well. No scabbard. Total length 33 inches. Very good condition, with only very little of the gold decoration erased. Age signs on the grips.
