The blade of this Yataghan sword is forged from folded and twisted steel, in the pattern known as Turkish Ribbon , a development of the pattern known as Twisted Star. The rather short 19 ½ inches blade is of early form with a wide belly. The grips are elephant Ivory and the grip strap is silver. No scabbard. Total length 23 ½ inches. Good condition. Minor pitted spots and minor chip on the ivory scales. The grip strap is restored.
