We offer for sale this very fine Balkan / Turkish Yataghan sword, with pattern welded (Damascus) blade, well forged in the pattern known as Turkish Ribbon: Bands of twisted steel ingots forged welded to a high Carbon steel edge. The blade is 23 inches long, lavishly marked and inscribed with true silver inlay on both faces of the blade. The handles are white metal. The scabbard is wood covered with leather stitched with the spiral pattern, with a heavy well chased and decorated silver locket and engraved white metal chape. The scabbard retains an old binding of the leather belt loop to the scabbard. Total length 31 inches. Very good condition. Minor damages and repairs to the grips and grip strap.
