This Billao dagger is late 19 Century and comes from the coastal people of Somalia. It has a classical non-symmetrical leaf shape blade, 7 1/2 inches long, almost 2 inches wide. The handle is made of two sections of horn separated by layers of brass . The pommel is of a typical three pronged shape made of steel as well. Nic tooled hide scabbard. Good condition. Few chips on the grip horn and minor damages to scabbard.
